We went to Prague on a whim because our original plans to hit Oktoberfest got too pricey and the travel to visit only a day of the fest seemed like a journey for us.  Planning parts of this trip on a whim has been one of the best decisions we could have ever made - it has allowed us to drift to places like the Czech Republic and fall in love with Prague.  A large portion of what made our trip so enjoyable in Prague was the awesome Air BnB that Emily select.  We found ourselves on the patio of the nearly top floor apartment watching unbeatable sunset views with Prague twinkling below.  The unit we rent for 4 days had everything we needed (washer/dryer, bathroom, small kitchen) located in the town of Zizkov just outside Prague, Czech Republic.  We felt very safe and secure here although the Zizkov district can be depict as a rougher part of town we didn't see any signs of that except graffiti spread about.  We did however find ourselves drinking wine, eating cheese and watching the sunset quite a few times over this picture perfect Air BnB balcony... Have a look for yourself

THE STREETS OF ZIZKOV, CZECH REPUBLIC

Don't judge a book by its cover as the saying goes - when we first arrived in Zizkov seeing all the graffiti (picture above) and staying next to an abandoned building left us feeling a little bit uneasy but we're able to find the beauty in everything out here on the road.  The apartment ended up being really nice, something I would dream to own one day in another country - very great accommodations with Emily's excellent picks and airbnb being available anywhere in the world, we continue to trust their services.  The people in Prague were friendly, polite and while some understood a little bit of English most of the time we struggled to communicate but did our best to be understood with hand gestures and thank yous.  As you get closer into the center of town more and more people speak English as the city of Prague sees approximately 8.08 million (foreign visitors to Prague) visitors annually.  We loved our time here I took an excessive amount of photographs (more than 600 images) and I feel I need to go back and capture more the Praha beauty.  The cobble stone streets, the ancient buildings and mint green rooftops that remind me of Italy or Greece, plus plenty of historic cathedrals and castles as well line the hill tops here - a photographers dream.  The weather was delightful in the C.R. the sunshine warmed our faces in the day but we prepared for the crisp, cool fall nights - the temps dropped to about 45 degrees at night during early October.  If you're going to Prague we recommend using Air BnB (CLICK HERE TO GET $20 OFF WHEN YOU SIGN UP FOR AIR BNB TODAY AND BOOK THRU OUR MEET YOU THERE LINK) and maybe you'll find yourself falling in love with the Czech Republic just as we did.
