Flash back Fridays - Exploring Brussels, Belgium

Welcome to our new weekly series post called Flashback Fridays - each week I am going to post up different style posts based on different days of the week.  Flashback Fridays will capture 5-10 images that we didn't share from the first time we post about visiting a certain destination - this week jumps back to our very first stop ever Brussels, Belgium back in September 2015.  Belgium was an interesting location to launch our travels from - filled with culture shock and barely able to read or order food off any menu, we made life work and we learned quickly how difficult life on the road was going to be.  I enjoyed my time in Brussels, the guy at the corner store never really knew my name but every morning I came back to buy a cup of coffee he remembered what I was looking for - with a coffee cup ready in hand and a smile on his face.  The people here were just as shocked with us as we were with them - Belgians are known for their chocolate, fries, waffles and beer - which we sampled plenty of all four.  Here are some images that I never got around to posting from our time spent exploring Brussels - stop one of our world travels...

Trying not to get lost and learning how to navigate in another part of the world... a very interesting predicament - I wrote about that in our post here: Getting lost in Schaerbeek, Brussels
