Exploring Prague - Five Fantastic things to do in Praha, Czech Republic

1. Beer garden and City top Prague photo walk

Up on top of the city of Prague lies a really neat lookout point and photo walk area.  Emily found this thru another bloggers post (here on BBQ boy.net) and we decided to check it out.  You start your evening walk about here (see crappy map below) across the river looking over the brightly colored rooftops you will find a beer garden in one of Prague's most beautiful parks.

We start here with a Pilsner and a tasty cider to kick off our photo walk then headed uphill towards Prague Castle.  We recommend starting an hour before sunset to fully capture the golden hour - as there are quite a few places along the way to stop and make some outstanding images.  Here are some shots we were able to grab:

Here's a Google map screenshot of the duration of the walk going up to Prague castle - decide whether or not this is too much walking for you - you could always skip the beer garden but the views up top here were unbeatable.  The reason for this disclaimer is once you get to Prague castle for some epic night city shots - you still have to walk yourself down to the bus stops which made us quite tiring (or you could consider catching a cab / über ride).

2. Street markets of Prague (seen below) were some of the best we have ever experienced -

3. John Lennon wall

This is a really famous wall in the Czech Republic, a very tourist heavy spot, but don't be shy - it's well worth part of one of your days spent in Praha.  According to Wiki the history behind the wall is that a group of students following their strong beliefs in Lennonism clashed with local authorities in the area and behind many layers of new paint and graffiti was an original portrait of John Lennon.  The wall is owned by the Knights of Malta who allow art to continue to develop on the wall - wiki says

today the wall represents a symbol of global ideas such as love and peace.

If your near the Lennon wall and find your stomach grumbling for lunch there's also a neat pub - right behind the Lennon wall worth checking out (the food wasn't the best - but the beers were worth it).

4. Restaurant with city view
Have some extra Czech crown your looking to spend on a fancier dinner in Prague? Perhaps make a reservation at Restaurant Neboziziek (we did not make a reservation and were able to walk in) but you wouldn't want to walk all the way there for them to be filled up - so call in advance.  This restaurant hosts one of the best city views in all of Prague I was a bit upset that I didn't have my camera with me but we took the moments in and captured mental images.
The food here was fantastic and the service was delightful as well we highly recommend that you check this place out.

5.  Prague burlesque - we spent the remainder of our last night at the opening of Prague Burlesque show which was a great event to check out.  Emily will be writing a full blog post on this night coming soon... CLICK HERE TO BOOK A TABLE AT PRAGUE BURLESQUE
