Meet You There Trip Itinerary - Koh Lipe, Thailand

Trip Itinerary - Koh Lipe, Thailand

(next post: Singapore)

Because I’ve had very little time to create new content for Meet You There I am going to look back through my iPhone at all my past trip itineraries and make a post out of each one. The posts will be short and sweet without a ton of text but they will list where we went each day, what we did and links will be attached to each activity, restaurant or bungalow. We want to thank all those who continue to read the Meet You There blog - we’re sorry the content has fallen off recently - and we hope to create more new content in the future. Maybe even some kind of YouTube channel or audio podcast further discussing: traveling the globe, traveling on a budget and more travel tips plus itineraries.

Would you guys be interested in hearing more from us about our travels?

Asia Trip II Itinerary Log

Koh Lipe

Food Places we enjoyed on Koh Lipe (everything we ate):

Breakfast:
Bloom Cafe (a great way to start your day: Acaí Bowls, french toasts and Thai Iced Coffee)
Cafe Lipe (beach side breakfast)
Elephant Koh Lipe (delicious healthy, incredible breakfast spot)

Italian (which was surprisingly amazing on Koh Lipe):
La Luna (delicious Italian food) x2

Local to Lipe:
Bombay Indian (we sat late, the staff wasn’t stoked with us - but the Indian food was phenomenal from this spot)
On the Rocks (some of the best views on the island, bring the camera while enjoying their BBQ, fish dishes and curry plus fried rice, a little challenging to find but ask the locals they will point you in the right direction)
Nee Papaya
Castaway Resort (The lamb shank curry was phenomenal snack after roasting in the Thailand sun all day)
Ja Yao (on the walking street, we thought the Thai food was decent against the reviews we saw online)
Rock Stone Bar (This is spot is 100% 420 friendly, well depending on if there’s a drought or not, we scored countless spliffs from the bar tenders here and enjoyed cold beers while watching the Thailand stars twinkling above us - good luck finding it, your best bet is to ask the Tuk-Tuk driver to take you there)
Home Bar (We went here late night a few times, we watched people spin fire and usually there’s a DJ playing tunes beach side)

Accommodations: New Pattaya Song (a bit over-priced, perhaps because we were there during New Years Eve - but we also got stuck with a room without air conditioning, don’t make this mistake, staff was friendly but we’re giving this a 3 / 5)

To travel to and from Koh Lipe, we used the Malaysian port town called Langkawi - here’s a short list of where we stayed during our layover time in Malaysia:

Accommodations:
Langkawi Yacht Club Hotel

The reason we stayed on Langkawi is because we were able to extend our time in Koh Lipe by an extra day - whenever you can stay longer on an Thai Island in the middle of the Andaman sea, jump at the opportunity - it will be good for your spirit and soul. Next blog post: Singapore Itinerary, thanks for staying tuned. ~MYT
