Patong Beach: The Siam Cafe
While staying in Phuket near Patong Beach we spent our first few nights at the Deevana resort and spa - comfortable accommodations I was able to find on Expedia. Although this resort was comfortable it was a bit out of budget for us but I wanted us to be more than satisfied after just leaving some more than interesting guest houses in and around India. One morning while hunting for breakfast, we used trip advisor to search for the best breakfast near Patong Beach and the results took us to Siam cafe. Because our stay at Devana was coming to an end we noticed that Siam cafe had a guest house on top of their restaurant.
After finishing a phenomenal brekky (as they call it in Australia) we asked the owner if they had any availability in their guest home. Sure enough they did - we were in luck and were able to score a very reasonable room close to the action but down a quiet alleyway just off the main road in Patong, Phuket.

By reasonable we spent 800 Thai Baht (around $22 USD) for about 4 days to stay in the quaint and comfortable Siam Guesthouse. Their breakfast is what captured us - it's important for us to be able to either cook a breakfast of our own or grab a quality bite to eat before starting our adventure filled days in Thailand. Not only did they serve up a wonderful brekky - but the owner of the Siam Cafe was a fantastic source of information for: rentals, day trips and transportation. If we needed a motorbike we were walked down a few buildings to get the best rate on a motorbike around. If we needed a hotel transfer to Koh Phi Phi (our next destination) she told us to speak to the tour operator across the way for the best price and deals. Anything we wanted she was able to connect us with a solid tour operator and a killer price - thank you so much to the owner at Siam Cafe she made our stay and departure from Phuket very smooth and hassle free.
We ate breakfast here almost every morning we stayed upstairs as they had the best prices and best iced coffee in Patong. We were very fortunate to find a place like this one, we highly recommend you book your next visit to Thailand at the Siam Cafe - although you might have the best luck with just grabbing breakfast there and asking if they have availability.
